Wild Oak Honey - 450g
Kotinos wild oak honey is a monovarietal honey.
Harvested at the end of July each year, from Foloi oak forest in Ilis. Foloi oak forest is a designated site under NATURA 2000 that dates back to ancient times.
According to Greek mythology, the forest was named after the Centaur Pholus, who gave shelter to his friend, Hercules, on his way to locate the Erymanthian Boar at his fourth labor.
Oak tree honey has a complex taste whichusually is less sweet compared to nectar honeys while it tends not to crystallise. It also has a thick texture and a deep dark colour that resembles molasses.
Kotinos wild oak honey is cold processed, unfiltered, unpasteurised and unprocessed, ensuring its nutritional properties are preserved.
