Roasting coffee with wood allows for a slower roast enabling the beans to retain more of their natural oils resulting in a full bodied smooth coffee.
This wood roasted Brazil Tupi coffee comes from the region of Cerrado and is produced by the Fazenda Pantano plantation using the Washed processing method.
It is grown at an altitude of 1080 meters.

The wood used to roast the beans comes from sustainably managed woodlands from within the UK.
Fazenda Pântano plantation covers a total area of 600 hectares. More than100 hectares of the land are allocated for permanent natural forest reserves, a legal requirement under Brazilian law. The farm supports a local school and also funds various training schemes and courses for its staff.
It is certified by the Rainforest Alliance.
