Icelandic Glacial is the super-premium natural spring water from the Land Of Fire and Ice.
Home to glaciers, spouting geysers, volcanoes and raging rivers, Iceland is one of the worlds cleanest ecosystems. Its also home to the legendary lfus Spring, the source of Icelandic Glacial. Formed more than 5,000 years ago and shielded by an impenetrable barrier of lava rock, the Spring is constantly replenished by rain, snow and ice-melt from the nearby mountains. The water is slowly and naturally filtered through layers of volcanic rock, thereby producing a natural spring water so pure that nothing is added or taken away.
with a pH 8.4 and only 62 ppm TDS(total dissolved solids), naturally low in deuterium. The level of deuterium in this water is -53,4‰, which means that it is-53,4‰ less than ocean water. Ocean water is used as the guide for measuring deuterium content of water and is approx 155ppm deuterium. This means this water has a deuterium level of approx 148ppm.
(Deuterium is an isotope of hydrogen that can enter the body in place of hydrogen. Deuterium has more mass than hydrogen and has been shown to impact mitochondrial activity)
The high-grade rPET bottles are BPA-free. The bottles, labels, caps and cardboard packing are 100% recyclable.
Sophisticated Packaging -The signature sculpted, glacier-inspired bottle neck, featuring four profiles, reinforces the water's heritage and premium position. It was named"Best Overall Concept and Best Label"at the Bottled Water World Design Awards.

In order to help preserve the beautiful majestic landscape of Iceland, Icelandic Glacial is sourced from the naturally replenishing underground lfus Spring.
A Natural, Renewable Product
With over 900,000 cubic meters of water overflowing from the lfus Spring into the ocean every day, it's one of the world's largest natural springs. Indeed, the overflow alone is more than twice the amount of all bottled water consumed worldwide. Taking great care never to damage or deplete the Spring, Icelandic Glacial sources less than 0.1% of the total water that naturally flows to the surface.
The Facility
Icelandic Glacial also takes great pride in running a completely sustainable operation fuelled entirely by geothermal and hydroelectric power. At 7,688 sq. ft., the world class facility is one of the world's greenest and cleanest. Fully automated and hands-free, the facility is capable of producing up to 30,000 bottles per hour. The filling process takes place in a clean room environment held to the highest laboratory standards. The water for Icelandic Glacial travels directly from the underground spring into the bottling facility, which maintains a positive air pressure to impede the outside air.
The first time Icelandic Glacial comes into contact with the open air is when the bottle seal is broken. Nothing is ever added or taken away.
Carbon Neutral Certification
Icelandic Glacial has worked with The Carbon Neutral Company, a leading carbon emissions consultant, since 2007. Since that time, Icelandic Glacial has been certified Carbon Neutral for both its products and operations - an unprecedented move in the beverage industry.
Icelandic Glacial has made a commitment to assess our CO2 emissions and reduce them wherever possible on an ongoing basis. Only after this process has been carried out, and a net-zero carbon footprint achieved, can a company carry the Carbon Neutral Company certification. Our efforts have been rewarded with international recognition, most notably winning the 2007 Bottled Water World Design Awards for Best Sustainability Initiative, presented at the Global Bottled Water Congress.
Quality Controlled by Mother Nature
Icelandic Glacial natural spring water is the result of a perfect combination of environmental characteristics that create a remarkably fresh, balanced water with a clean finish.
Naturally Low Mineral Levels for a Fresh, Clean Taste
The Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level reflects the amount of sodium, calcium, magnesium and other minerals in the water. These affect the taste, balance and character of the water. Icelandic Glacial has one of the lowest TDS levels amongst other premium water brands.
High Alkalinity and Healthy pH Balance
Icelandic Glacial also features a highly desirable, uncommonly elevated and naturally occurring alkaline pH level of 8.4.
Keeping the Water Untouched Helps Keep it Pure
The water we collect flows directly into our state-of-the-art bottling plant located right at the source, in Hlidarendi, Iceland at the edge of the lfus Spring. Nothing is added or taken away, and the water is never exposed to outside air.
TESTING & CERTIFICATIONS
Testing is continually conducted to ensure Icelandic Glacial Water meets top food safety and quality standards. Our facilities and products are fully accredited by the NSF (recognised as the worlds leading third party standards certification authority) and always meet or exceed U.S.A. Food & Drug Administration and World Health Organisation requirements. Both the lfus Spring source and our facility are also regularly inspected by the Icelandic Public Health Authority, which carries out stringent tests to ensure the facility is operating in compliance with WHO standards. In addition to governmental requirements, Icelandic Glacial carries out extensive daily testing with its own in-house laboratory.
