Slippery Elm Bark Powder is the inner bark of an Elm tree that was used traditionally by Native American peoples. It contains mucilage, which is thought to provide medicinal benefits, including relief from the effects of acid reflux, and a sore stomach. Can also be made into a paste to topically treat the skin.
When a small amount is mixed with water, say 1/2 to 1 teaspoon, the mucilage forms a gel which coats the gastrointestinal tract. Try mixing with water to the desired consistency (baring in mind as it stands it will thicken a little). Can be sweetend with honey if desired or mixed with juice.
