Goat's Milk

We are very lucky to have this particular raw goat’s milk in our shop, as there is a limited supply.

Raw goat's milk is a great option for people who are unable to tolerate pasteurised (or even unpasteurised for some) cow's milk. Goat's milk is considered to have more natural goodness than many other cow’s milk alternatives. This particular raw goat's milk has a great fresh taste, and not at all “goaty” like some others you may have tried!

Glass of milkThis goat’s milk goes through no processing. You could say it is naturally homogenised as the fat molecules are much smaller than those in cow’s milk, making it easier to digest. This is particularly noticeable for those who struggle with conventional dairy produce. Goat’s milk is an alkaline food, and a good source of sulphur which has been said to support flexibility and joint health. It is a wonderful source of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and beneficial bacteria.

Coastal Goats, who produce our milk, ensure extremely high standards of cleanliness and animal welfare. The goats are out grazing diverse, natural pasture.

Goat's Milk Kefir

Raw goat’s milk is perfect for your milk kefir making. Fermenting milk with kefir cultures has been shown to add to the nutrient value and the digestibility of the food. Kefir is widely considered to be superior to yoghurt in its array of benefits, partly as the milk does not need to be heated first, and partly because the cultures involved are more diverse. Kefir is very easy to digest, and for those yoghurtworking on healing their gut, kefir is often considered the best dairy food when starting to re-introduce dairy back into the diet. Kefir is very straight forward to make at home, and we can offer advice where needed.
